Kate is Global Risk Capital's actuary and is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland. She joined GRC in October 2005 from Tillinghast-Towers Perrin where she was a senior consultant specialising in property casualty insurance and was a member of Tillinghast's London APH team. Prior to joining Tillinghast, Kate worked as a senior consultant with Deloitte's actuarial practice.
Projects as a consultant included:
- APH reserve reviews for several clients
- Scheme actuary to a solvent scheme of arrangement
- Traditional business reserve reviews for several direct, reinsurance and captive clients in Ireland, the UK and Europe
- Finite risk reserve reviews for large reinsurers
- Review of risk transfer for finite risk contracts
Prior to joining Deloitte in 2001, Kate worked for AXA in Ireland for over 15 years. She held a variety of roles within AXA, including Underwriting Manager of AXA Direct, Planning Manager and Pricing Actuary.
